This Governor blames everything and now, anything, on everyone except where blame belongs. She got caught with this one and this one is no small potatoes. Ricky Holland is dead and people need to be held responsible.
The Michigan Republican Legislature said they gave her [Granholm] the money to hire more staff… Staff was not hired-- This stinks Governor!
p.s. Notice the Liberal friendly Associated Press headline even though they admit in their story that the Governor had the authority and the money all along!
Beyond this horrible incident; does another lurk? Are unqualified people being placed in position of authority in the Michigan Justice System? Are children placed in training schools operated by the state being locked in their bedrooms at night when they never have before; and for no apparent reason? In a flash-fire situation, could they all survive??? Rumors abound!

Granholm calls for more child protective workers

Gov. Jennifer Granholm on Thursday pledged to thoroughly investigate how a 7-year-old boy beaten to death last summer was left with an adoptive family despite repeated reports of abuse. She also said she won't sign any state Department of Human Services budget bills that don't include the 51 additional caseworkers she has asked for in the budget year that starts Oct. 1.
But she had to backtrack Thursday afternoon after first implying the Republican-controlled Legislature had denied her earlier requests for more caseworkers. The governor's office said in a statement that Granholm had not asked for any more caseworkers before her latest budget proposal.
