That's it; after 40 years I am once again voting Democratic! The majority Republican Legislature in Michigan, in typical Republican fashion, is sucking up- wanting to be first out of the chute with a hike in the minimum wage. Yes, it was predictable that Dems would push an increase because it is a state-wide election cycle, and part of their vote-getting strategery. In the past Republicans would fight a bit and then give in. This time they came out with it first; sickening!

If Republicans would have stood up for what is right 40 years ago, more of this politically correct crap would have come about, yes, and Democrats would have gained a lot of power for a couple of years, but by now they would have lost it all; state and national... They didn't, they won't do it now! They think they are smart; they are not, history has proven them wrong!

If Republicans and Liberals disguised as conservatives, think they are going to reduce votes going Democratic by legislating Liberal programs then so be it; let's do it! And that's another thing- County Republican organizations back their candidate, even though they hold their nose... Their time to act in a responsible fashion is past; it is now time to prove the point... Elect the Democrat; whoever it is... Let the Liberals who have infested the Democratic Party run the country; I'm for it! Let the Liberals who have infested the Democratic Party protect us from terrorists, I'm for it!

Republicans think folks like me have no where to go no matter how they act; wrong! There is an old saying that has merit- "the proof is in the pudding"; I'm for giving them a hefty portion...

I urge real conservatives throughout Michigan to hold their nose and vote Democratic in this years election; state, national, the whole enchilada!
